RE//CYCLE

How does Dr Pad make an eco-friendly pad?
High-performance yarns, recycled foam and bio-based fabrics are just to name a few.
Let’s take a closer look at what we do and use to make an earth-friendly pad:

WATER BASED
COLOR PRINTING

YARNS MADE FROM
RECYCLED PLASTIC

RECYCLING OF
EXCESS FOAM

YARNS MADE OF
CASTOR OIL

RECYCLED AND
BIO-BASED FABRICS

WATER BASED
COLOR PRINTING

Water-based ink is made with water rather than plastic or PVC; water-based printing features inks that are soft, breathable and able to soak into the fabric, rather than sitting on top. The final result is a crisp, bright and fast drying print while paying attention to important environmental issues.

YARNS MADE FROM
RECYCLED PLASTIC

Polyester yarn is made with used plastic bottles which are ready to be recycled. Recycle polyester is just as strong and durable as virgin polyester, so don’t be fooled by the word” recycled”.

RECYCLING OF
EXCESS FOAM

Dr Pad is proud to recycle the excess foam discarded during production. The recycling of PU foam is now considered a normality within our facility; the foam scraps are tightly packed, pressed and loaded by specific recycling industries, drastically reducing normal production waste costs.

YARNS MADE OF
CASTOR OIL

Castor beans are not a food crop and they grow easily. This means that castor bean oil is a totally renewable resource that does not require large amount of water and it does not take land away from food production. Dr Pad is doing its part; no impact on the food chain.

RECYCLED AND
BIO-BASED FABRICS

The term bio-based refers to materials or products that partially or wholly derive from plants or vegetables. We strive to research those materials that are in line with our project for an eco-friendly pad.
